The meeting also discussed the work of the State Border Committee in areas requiring \u201cspecial attention given the current difficult circumstances,\u201d BelTA reported. The discussion included strengthening border security through the renewal and modernization of border infrastructure and technical equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Kubrakou informed the meeting about the relocation of trucks at the Lithuanian border to guarded parking areas. He said drivers are being provided with necessary assistance, the situation in the border area is under the control of the Interior Ministry, and public order is being reinforced.<\/p>\n<p>Ryzhankou reported on interactions with Lithuania and on efforts aimed at resolving the situation \u201cas quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cBelarus fully supports the prompt restoration of the normal functioning of the Belarusian-Lithuanian state border \u2014 with the operation of all checkpoints provided for by our contractual and legal framework, and with the restoration of normal interaction between the respective services ensuring the functioning of the border,\u201d<\/i> Ryzhankou said.<\/p>\n<p>It was reported that Lukashenka gave \u201cthe necessary instructions regarding further actions and the negotiation position of the Belarusian side in order to return to the normal functioning of border checkpoints.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, yesterday Lukashenka received Molastau, Ryzhankou, and KGB head <b>Ivan Tertel<\/b> for briefings on the situation at the Lithuanian border.
