He made the remarks at today\u2019s press conference titled \u201cStrategic Priorities for Ensuring National Security of the Republic of Belarus: Efficiency and Effectiveness,\u201d held at the House of Press.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, combating illegal migration remains one of the key areas of Belarus\u2019s migration policy, in which the State Border Committee plays an active role.<\/p>\n<p>The committee representative accused neighboring EU countries of <i>\u201cconfrontation and disregard for border cooperation issues,\u201d<\/i> alleging <i>\u201ccruel treatment of refugees\u201d<\/i> and the introduction of restrictions on border crossings. He reiterated that since 2021, 96 cases of migrant deaths have been identified in border regions.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cSince 2021, a total of 96 cases of migrant deaths have been recorded in border areas.
