The bus veered off the road and overturned, leaving a 63-year-old passenger with serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Investigative Committee, a technical examination found that \u201cthe bus\u2019s ABS system was malfunctioning, which made it impossible to change the vehicle\u2019s trajectory during emergency braking.\u201d At the time of the crash, the bus was traveling at around 99 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>The driver has been charged under Part 2 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code (\u201cViolation of traffic rules and vehicle operation by a driver resulting in serious bodily injury through negligence\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe materials concerning the release of a faulty bus into service have been separated from the main criminal case and sent to the Minsk police for further review,\u201d<\/em> the Committee added.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-492046\" src=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/photo_2025-10-20_11-39-26.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"755\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-492047\" src=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/photo_2025-10-20_11-39-28.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"754\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Investigative Committee has completed its probe into a February road accident involving a MAZ bus operating on the St. Petersburg\u2013Minsk route.
