The World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS) has announced the lifting of restrictions on the participation of Belarusian athletes, officials, and teams in competitions held under the organization’s auspices. The decision was made in accordance with the recommendation of the IOC Executive Board issued on May 7, under which international federations are no longer advised to restrict the participation of Belarusian athletes.
Belarusian athletes and teams will be able to participate in WCBS competitions under the national flag and in full compliance with the organization’s rules.
“At the same time, the WCBS continues to firmly uphold peace, solidarity, and respect among all members of the global billiards sports community.
WCBS will continue to monitor developments and maintain close dialogue with the IOC and its member federations regarding any future recommendations or policy changes,” the WCBS said.
