The Ministry of Information has once again expanded its list of “extremist materials.”
The list now includes the website of the “non-profit organization ‘Green Belarus Alliance with signs of extremism’” (belarusgreen.vision). The Leninsky District Court of Mahiliou ruled on September 23 that the website’s information products were “extremist.”
The list also includes:
– The Telegram channel “Нацыянальны Фронт” and an Instagram account of the same name;
– The TikTok account “ЗЕЛЁНКА”;
– The Instagram accounts “aktybin_vtb” and “laskatuchi.”
In Belarus, accusations of extremism are used to persecute opponents of Lukashenka and dissent more broadly.
