“We’re Starting in Sweden and Continuing in Ukraine.” Director of “Pukst in the North” Artsiom Lobach Begins Filming New Documentary

Belarusian filmmaker Artsiom Lobach, director of the documentary series “Pukst in the North,” which is currently being released on Reform.news here, has begun work on a new film project. Filming has already started in Scandinavia, with Ukraine set to be the next stage. The director told Reform.news exclusively.

According to Artsiom Lobach, the original idea for the film underwent significant changes during the preparation period:

“The idea started with an acquaintance of mine who lives in Sweden and helps deliver cars to the front in Ukraine. Initially, the plan was to make a film specifically about that. But over the course of a year, while we were looking for funding and writing the script, we refined the concept. The cars remained in the background, while the focus shifted to people: the main characters in the film are a Swede, whom we are filming now, and a family in Ukraine,” the documentary filmmaker said.

The director noted that filming began in Sweden, but details of the plot are being kept under wraps for now, as the project is still evolving.
