VSK-100 Assault Rifle Expected To Enter Mass Production In Belarus By End Of 2026

The VSK-100 assault rifle may enter mass production in Belarus by the end of 2026. This was announced by State Secretary of the Security Council Aliaksandr Valfovich.

“The VSK-100 is a modern Belarusian assault rifle with 100 percent localization, which I believe will be launched into mass production by the end of this year and supplied to the armed forces and other structures of the security bloc,” he said in an interview with the First Information TV channel. The State Secretary уточнил that the rifle has already been adopted into service.

According to him, Belarusian-made weapons are drawing interest abroad. Electronic warfare systems and optical sights are of particular interest, Valfovich noted. “T-72B3 tanks are equipped with new modern Sosna sights. Various modifications of the sights today are not inferior to global analogues and targeting systems for armored vehicles. Thanks to these sights, they are now joining the ranks of the best armored vehicles in the world,” the State Secretary of the Security Council added.

As reported by TASS, the VSK-100 is comparable in size to the AK-74, with a length of 915 mm, a height of 265 mm and a width of 6.5 mm. Its weight without a magazine is 4.3 kg. The Belarusian assault rifle is chambered for the 7.62×39 mm cartridge. The magazine capacity is 30 rounds. The firing mode is single or automatic, with a rotating bolt locking system. It uses a side gas-operated mechanism. The VSK-100 is assembled at the production facilities of BSVT – New Technologies in Stankava.
