Unknown individuals are attempting to contact Coordination Council delegates via messengers. The human rights center Viasna reports a recent case.
One of the Coordination Council delegates received a Telegram message from an unknown contact using the nickname Walter. The interlocutor wrote in Ukrainian that he was in Ukraine, had been following the delegate’s political activities for a long time, and proposed communicating and becoming friends. Walter also offered to communicate in Russian if Ukrainian was difficult to understand.
The Walter account was registered in August 2025. It is unknown who is behind it.
Political scientist Alina Kharysava previously encountered a similar situation. According to her, a person who identified himself as a Ukrainian Security Service officer spent several days trying to persuade her to establish contact in order to build ties between Ukraine and Belarusian democratic forces. It later emerged that the attempt to establish contact had been made by the Belarusian KGB.
