Ukraine and Latvia Discussed Increasing Pressure on Belarus

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže on October 12. The two sides also discussed Belarus.

According to Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry, the ministers coordinated joint steps to maintain and increase pressure on the aggressor. Sybiha described the Lukashenka regime as a threat to Latvia and all of Europe.

“The Lukashenka regime in Belarus poses an increasing threat to Latvia, the Baltic states and Europe as a whole. We discussed ways to counter this threat and increase pressure on Minsk. I am grateful to Latvia for its principled position and unwavering solidarity,” Sybiha said.
