Ukraine has agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire and calls on Russia to do the same, according to a joint statement by 51 UN member states, which Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry quoted.
“We call on Russia to ensure the immediate, safe and full return to Ukraine of all Ukrainian civilians who have been arbitrarily detained, forcibly transferred or deported, including children,” the statement said.
The countries that signed the statement called on Russia to end its aggression, agree to a ceasefire and fully engage in negotiations aimed at achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace.
