Two Books Added to List of “Extremist Materials”

The Information Ministry has added two books posted on the Kamunikat library website (kamunikat.org) to the list of “extremist materials.”

The Leninsky District Court of Mahiliou deemed the following materials “extremist”:

• “Return to the Homeland: Poems, Translations, Notes / Anatol Sanatsenka. – Minsk: Galiaphy, 2016. – 84 p.”;
• “ANATOL VARSHAUSKI HEAVENLY FLAX (Poems from Different Years; Babruisk Limericks; Belarusian Haiku; Guillaume Apollinaire – Our Man in Paris) 82 p.”.”.

The list also includes:

• BELPOL’s account on X,
• the “pawka” TikTok page.

Belarus uses extremism charges to target opponents of Aliaksandr Lukashenka and dissent more broadly.
