Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit taking place in Yerevan.
The parties discussed European unity, support, and France’s leading role in maintaining a strong and united Europe, the Tsikhanouskaya Office reported.
“It is very important for us that Europe preserves its unity and continues to act together. I thanked Emmanuel Macron for the role France is playing in Europe today,” Tsikhanouskaya said.
The leader of the Belarusian democratic forces also met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Romanian President Dan Nicușor, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Council António Costa, and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset.
