The Vileyka District Court has heard a criminal case against a 26-year-old Minsk resident charged with violating traffic regulations, resulting in moderate and serious bodily injuries through negligence (Part 2 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code).
The truck driver who caused a collision with a minibus in the Vileyka district has been sentenced to three years in a penal settlement and banned from driving for five years. The sentence was handed down by the Vileyka District Court, the court’s press service reports.
The accident occurred in September 2025. In the evening, the 26-year-old driver stopped his truck within the boundaries of an intersection and began reversing across it. The trailer moved into the oncoming lane, where it was hit by a minibus.
Eight people were injured in the crash: two sustained serious injuries and six suffered injuries of moderate severity.
