Rail services on the Bryansk–Unecha–Homiel route have been disrupted following a drone attack overnight on railway infrastructure in Vygonichi District of Russia’s Bryansk Region. The region’s governor, Yegor Kovalchuk, reported the incident on his Telegram channel on October 10.
According to the governor, the facility was attacked by fixed-wing drones. The railway tracks were damaged, disrupting train services on the route connecting Russia and Belarus. The Minsk–Adler train will be rerouted around the damaged section via the Smolensk line to Bryansk-Orlovsky station. It will follow the same route in the opposite direction.
According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
The timeline for restoring train services will be determined after Russian Railways teams conduct a comprehensive inspection of the damaged section, Kovalchuk said.
