The Ministry of Taxes and Duties has reported on its monitoring of tax payments by taxi operators.

In January-August, tax authorities analyzed the tax returns of nearly 10,500 business entities operating in the sector.

Following the desk audits, nearly 2,400 notices were sent to taxi operators. As a result, they additionally paid BYN 28.8 million.

“In relation to unscrupulous carriers who did not respond to the notice and did not voluntarily fulfill their tax obligations, 93 desk audit reports were drawn up. As a result, taxes totaling BYN 11.6 million are due to the budget,” the ministry added.

Eighty people were held administratively liable. They were fined a total of BYN 1.8 million.

Information on 43 business entities was forwarded to law enforcement agencies for a legal assessment in accordance with criminal procedure legislation.
