The State Control Committee reported that four retail outlets in Brest have been ordered to suspend operations. In total, inspectors checked seven outlets selling electronic smoking systems and nicotine-containing products.
Inspectors found expired liquids and non-tobacco nicotine-containing products on sale, with some products having expired by as much as 900 days. Liquids containing more nicotine than the permitted limit were also being sold. In addition, inspectors found unlabelled liquids, while documentation was missing for some of the goods. The assortment also included liquids illegally imported into the country.
Counterfeit and expired products were withdrawn from circulation.
