Drone attacks on Russian oil refineries will affect oil production volumes in Russia in 2026. This follows from remarks by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
“We are currently seeing a partial decline in production volumes compared with forecast figures, partly due to underloading at oil refineries because of unscheduled repairs.”
“Exports are stable, and all capacities of our export infrastructure are being used to the maximum, including those expanded in recent years in the direction of maritime transport”, he said, TASS reports.
Novak noted that the decline in production this year would be temporary. The deputy prime minister also assured that Russia was capable of fully repairing all oil refineries.
“Certainly, there are no problems with all repairs carried out using domestic technologies and domestic equipment. Our companies and our industry fully provide the necessary resources and equipment”, he said.
For now, the domestic fuel market will also be balanced through imports.
“We will continue to monitor and balance the market, including not only by increasing production on the domestic market, but also through additional supplies from foreign markets”, he said.
“We are also actively working with companies on oil supplies from abroad, including from neighboring countries and more distant countries, as well as supplies of petroleum products, primarily gasoline”, Novak added.
According to him, the situation with fuel on the Russian market has improved, although there is a “minor shortage at filling stations, especially in regions, primarily in the Siberian and Ural federal districts”, which is linked to logistics.
