Russia struck the building of the “We – Ukraine” TV channel this afternoon while its team was broadcasting a telethon. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this.
The building was partially destroyed. Five people were reported injured. The number could rise. Emergency services are working at the scene. The fire that broke out after the explosion has been extinguished.
A strike drone hit the building.
“Shaheds” targeting the media is a new page in the degradation, and there must certainly be a response from Europe and the world to this. Not a single strike on Ukraine and Ukrainians — on human lives — can be left unpunished. Russia must be stopped, and this is possible only through joint efforts”, Zelenskyy said.
