Russia Attacks Kyiv’s Southern Bridge Again

Russia launched another strike on the Southern Bridge in Kyiv overnight, the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitalii Klitschko, said.

Traffic has been restricted on Kyiv’s Southern Bridge, Paton Bridge and Metro Bridge. Public transport routes have also been changed.

The Southern Bridge was targeted on October 1. During the day, two drones struck near one of its supports. Traffic was suspended. However, no critical damage was found. The bridge was attacked again in the evening. According to preliminary information, a drone damaged a bridge support, a crash barrier, the road surface and the protective concrete barrier of the metro.

The consequences of today’s strike are not yet known.

A 25-storey residential building in Kyiv was also damaged today.
