On the night of September 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with 453 strike drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, Parodiya decoy drones and S8000 Bandrol drones. According to preliminary data from the Ukrainian Air Force, 409 aerial targets were shot down or suppressed.
The attack began on the evening of September 12. Russia launched the drones from the Kursk, Oryol and other regions of Russia, as well as from occupied Crimea and the Sea of Azov.
The Ukrainian military said it had destroyed or suppressed 405 drones and four Bandrol drones. Hits were recorded at 13 locations, while debris from downed targets was found at seven other sites.
Several regions of Ukraine were affected by the attacks.
In the Kyiv region, Russian drones repeatedly attacked a logistics warehouse in Boryspil district. After the fire had been extinguished, the facility was hit again. Firefighters from Boryspil International Airport were also involved in extinguishing the blaze. Emergency workers continue to operate at the site, the State Emergency Service reported.
In Konotop, Sumy region, two people were injured in the attack. A private house was damaged, and a garage and a car caught fire. The fire was extinguished. In the Baturyn community, a 52-year-old Sumy region resident was killed while returning from a fishing trip with a friend. Their car was damaged by drone debris. In the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, a car was destroyed after a Molniya drone strike, and a 15-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man were injured. The girl was hospitalized.
The Odesa region was under attack for almost the entire night. Apartment and private houses, warehouses, production facilities, garages, cars and infrastructure facilities were damaged. Fires broke out at several locations. According to preliminary information, there were no deaths or injuries. More than 100 emergency workers were involved in dealing with the aftermath.
In the Kharkiv region, Russian strikes over the past 24 hours affected Kharkiv and 15 other settlements. Three people were injured. In Izium, a 26-year-old woman was killed by the detonation of an explosive object. According to data from Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov, the region was attacked by five Molniya drones, nine FPV drones and another 112 UAVs whose types are being determined. Residential buildings, shops, cars and warehouses were damaged.
In the Chernihiv region, Russian strikes killed one person and injured three others. In Nizhyn, Bandrol drone strikes damaged residential buildings, cars and a shop, while a fire that broke out was extinguished by emergency workers, Regional Military Administration head Viacheslav Chaus reported.
