Aliaksandr Lukashenka has signed a law amending legislation on road infrastructure. The document defines the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of road owners and users, according to Lukashenka’s press service.
An information fund for the road sector will be established in Belarus to provide the road industry with up-to-date information on road construction and maintenance. The law sets out specific provisions governing the preparation of design documentation, the construction, reconstruction, operation, and major repair of highways, and establishes principles for calculating the estimated cost of road works.
The legislation also clarifies regulations governing road operation and defines procedures for the organization and conduct of inspections and diagnostics of roads and road infrastructure facilities. In addition, it specifies legal provisions applicable to road infrastructure activities involving emergency and pre-emergency structures.
