Road Carriers To Submit Information On Passengers Traveling Abroad To Unified State System

Road carriers operating routes that involve crossing the state border will be required to submit passenger information to the unified state information system for the sale of travel documents for regular passenger road transport. This is provided for by Resolution No. 34 of the Ministry of Transport dated July 1, which was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The provision concerning road carriers will enter into force on Oct. 1, 2027. The unified system will receive the passenger’s surname, first name and patronymic, gender, date of birth, citizenship, and the name and number of the document used to purchase the ticket.

The resolution also contains provisions on the transfer of passenger information by entities operating international air and rail services. Similar practices are already in place.

Border guard authorities and other state bodies carrying out operational and investigative activities will be able to obtain information from ticket sales systems.
