Residents of the villages of Khalkholitsa and Nezhytsy in Barysau District have been advised not to enter the forest. A bear was wounded during a hunt near the villages. The animal is now hiding in the forest, reports Minsk Pravda.

Specialists from the Barysau branch of the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen (BOOR) are searching for the bear. Until the animal is found, local residents are advised not to enter the forest near Khalkholitsa and Nezhytsy, to carefully monitor their surroundings if they do enter the forest, and, if they spot tracks or the bear, to leave the area and notify BOOR or the Emergencies Ministry.

A month ago, on August 8, a bear was also wounded in Barysau District. It managed to escape into the forest.
