Real Income Growth Accelerates to 8.1% in January-July

Real disposable cash incomes of Belarusian households rose by 8.1% in January-July compared with the same period last year. Compared with the first-half result, the growth rate accelerated by 0.1 percentage points. In January-April, it stood at 7.9%. For comparison, the indicator increased by 9.6% in 2025.

The official forecast for socio-economic development in 2026, approved by a decree of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, envisages a 4.8% increase in household incomes.

The structure of cash incomes in January-July 2026 was as follows:

• wages — 66.6%;
• transfers to households (pensions, benefits, scholarships and other transfers to households) — 22.1%;
• income from entrepreneurial and other income-generating activities — 6.7%;
• property income and other income — 4.6%.

The share of wages in the income structure increased compared with January-June, while the share of transfers to households declined.

Real disposable cash incomes are cash incomes after taxes, fees and contributions have been deducted and adjusted for the consumer price index for goods and services.
