Public transport fares will increase not only in Minsk but also in several regions. Decisions by the executive committees of the Vitsyebsk, Brest, Homiel, and Minsk regions on tariffs for urban and suburban transport have been registered in the National Register of Legal Acts.
The documents have not yet been published, so the exact size of the fare increases is not yet known.
On Saturday, a decision by the Minsk City Executive Committee was published on the National Legal Internet Portal, raising fares for ground public transport by 0.15 rubles to 1.10 rubles, and metro fares to 1.15 rubles. A maximum fare for minibuses was also set at 3.3 rubles per trip, and 5 rubles for routes to satellite towns.
The new tariffs will come into force five days after publication.
