Possible Drone Wreckage Found on Beach in Poland

Fragments of an unidentified aircraft have been found on a beach near the village of Karwia in Poland’s Pomeranian Voivodeship, not far from Gdynia. The Military Gendarmerie is working at the scene.

“The Military Gendarmerie, under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Military Affairs Department of the Gdańsk District Prosecutor’s Office, is investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of fragments of an unidentified flying object on October 13, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on a beach in Karwia,” the military said in a statement.

It is not yet possible to determine exactly what kind of object it was or its dimensions. According to unofficial media reports, it may have been up to two meters long. RMF FM reports that it was most likely a Polish drone.

A month ago, 120 kilometers to the west, Polish military personnel recovered a Russian drone that had washed ashore on a beach in Rusinowo. It was a Russian Gerbera-2 drone. It was suggested that the Russian military had lost the drone during a training flight over the Baltic Sea.
