From October 19 to November 1, Polish border guards will assist their Latvian counterparts in guarding the border with Belarus.
Polish border guards will provide theoretical and practical assistance with border monitoring. The cooperation is based on a cross-border agreement signed by the Polish and Latvian border services in early October.
“The aim of the cooperation is to help ensure public safety, prevent and detect criminal offences and other violations, and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in combating cross-border crime,” Latvia’s State Border Guard said.
