Poland Strengthens Border Crossings With Ukraine

Poland has strengthened border crossings along its border with Ukraine. The measures were taken after Russia struck targets in the border area on September 13, including a gas station and a locomotive near the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing.

“The reinforcement of Border Guard posts at the crossing in Dorohusk was completed yesterday evening,” Interior and Administration Minister Marcin Kierwiński said.

He published a photograph of protective blocks installed at the border guards’ post.

In recent weeks, Russia has stepped up attacks on Ukrainian border crossings with EU countries. Strikes have been reported at crossings on the borders with Moldova and Romania, which were forced to suspend operations. Casualties and material damage were reported.
