Poland has launched an investigation into reports of a possible assassination attempt against Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. This was announced on X by Karolina Gałecka, spokesperson for Poland’s Ministry of Interior and Administration.
“Following information received by the Polish police about a possible assassination attempt against Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Minister of Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński and Minister-Coordinator of the Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak have ordered action to be taken on the matter,” Gałecka wrote.
A meeting has been scheduled with representatives of services subordinate to the Ministry of Interior and Administration, including the police and the State Protection Service, as well as staff from the Internal Security Agency.
