Poland has extended airspace restrictions near its borders with Belarus and Ukraine. According to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, the new order will take effect on September 10 and remain in force until December 9.
Flights are completely prohibited at night in a zone along Poland’s border at altitudes of up to 3 km. Military aircraft are exempt from the ban. More exemptions apply during daylight hours.
Similar restrictions have been in place for some time. The new notice makes only a minor adjustment to the boundaries of the restricted zone in its northern section.
The restrictions do not affect passenger flights, which operate at higher altitudes.
