Poland Deports Nine Belarusian Citizens Linked to Illegal Tobacco Trade

The Polish Border Guard has reported the deportation of nine Belarusian citizens. They were returned to Belarus.

“The foreigners were charged with participating in an organised criminal group involved in the illegal production and distribution of cigarettes without Polish excise stamps,” the Maritime Regional Unit of the Polish Border Guard said in a statement.

The deported Belarusian citizens had been held in various correctional facilities in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The nine Belarusian nationals have also been banned from entering Poland and the Schengen area for seven years.
