“On the night of January 31 to February 1, 2026, the Belarusian side made another attempt at reconnaissance and testing the response of Poland’s air defense systems, which registered the intrusion into Polish airspace of objects resembling balloons,” the press release said.
According to the command, the objects were under the control of military radar systems and did not pose a threat to the security of Poland’s airspace.
The command noted that it maintains constant interaction with relevant services and institutions, to which data on the detected objects are regularly transmitted. The Armed Forces of Poland continue to remain on duty and are ready to carry out tasks related to ensuring the security of the country’s airspace.
