Peskov: Russia Will Stand Alongside Belarus in Countering Threats

Russia will always stand alongside Belarus in countering possible threats, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said when asked how Russia would respond in the event of attacks on Belarus.

“We are Union States, and Russia will always stand alongside Belarus — in economic well-being, economic prosperity, joint development, and in countering all kinds of threats, whether direct threats, quasi-threats, potential threats or actual threats,” TASS quoted Peskov as saying.

It should be recalled that on June 19, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued an ultimatum to Belarus, demanding that it dismantle relay stations used to guide Russian drones within a week. “If he does not do it, we will,” Zelenskyy said.
