Peskov Does Not Rule Out European Participation in Talks to End the Russia-Ukraine War

Talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi in the first half of November, will be held in a trilateral format. However, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said European countries could also join the discussions, TASS reports.

“Nothing can be ruled out a priori. But these talks we are referring to, which are scheduled for the first half of November in Abu Dhabi, will be held in a trilateral format,” Peskov told reporters in response to a question about possible European participation.

The day before, Vladimir Putin said the trilateral talks could include European security issues.

“In their final form, rather than as a result of a suspension of hostilities for a short period. We are ready to resume these contacts to achieve this goal. At the same time, a representative of the US administration pointed out that if we discuss issues related to ensuring future security for both Ukraine and Russia, then, naturally, we will also need to talk about the European security architecture. I agree. Well, let us see how the situation develops in the coming days,” he said.
