Pensioner Dragged Several Metres After Being Caught in Bus Doors in Minsk

In Minsk, a 72-year-old woman was caught in the doors of a bus and dragged several metres along the asphalt. She has been hospitalised, according to the Traffic Police Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

On the morning of 8 December, a 38-year-old bus driver was pulling away from the National Library stop. Without ensuring that passengers had finished disembarking, the driver closed the doors, trapping the hands of a 72-year-old pensioner who was exiting the bus. The driver did not notice the woman and began to move, dragging her several metres along the asphalt. The bus stopped shortly afterwards.

The woman was taken to hospital for examination.
