Passengers of Bus Hit in Attack Return to Rechytsa

Passengers of the bus that came under attack in Russia’s Bryansk region returned to Rechytsa late on Wednesday evening. BelTA published photographs of their arrival.

The agency also quoted one of the passengers, Daniil, who described the moment of the strike.

“I saw that about three sections of the glass were missing. They had been blown out. Then they started helping out the boys who were injured. One boy had blood all over his face. One of them was taken by a civilian man to the nearest hospital because he lost consciousness for a few seconds. I was very frightened,” Daniil said.

The bus carrying Belarusian children travelling to the Russian resort city of Gelendzhik was attacked, reportedly by a drone, in Russia’s Bryansk region on June 17. One woman accompanying the group was killed, while eight people, including six children, were injured. Moscow says the bus was attacked by a Ukrainian drone. Kyiv rejects the accusation and describes the incident as an information provocation.
