Orange Weather Warning Issued for Saturday

Forecasters have issued an orange-level weather warning for Saturday. Rain and strong winds are expected.

“On September 5 (Saturday), westerly winds are expected to strengthen across most of the country, with gusts of 15–20 m/s and locally 21–24 m/s at night. Heavy rain is expected in the northern half of the country during the night. In Minsk, westerly winds are expected to strengthen to gusts of 15–20 m/s, with heavy rain overnight,” the warning says.

At night, weather conditions in Belarus will be influenced by atmospheric fronts moving in from Western Europe, while during the day the country will be affected by an unstable air mass. The minimum temperature at night will be +11 to +17°C, while the maximum during the day will range from +15°C in the north to +23°C in the south.
