Forecasters have warned Belarusians of stormy weather on Saturday. An orange weather alert has been issued.
“On Aug. 22 (Saturday), thunderstorms are expected across most of the country, with squally wind gusts of 15-20 meters per second in some areas during thunderstorms at night. During the daytime, westerly winds are expected to strengthen in many areas, with gusts of 15-20 meters per second, 21-24 meters per second in the northwest, and 25-27 meters per second in some areas.
In Minsk, a thunderstorm is expected, with westerly wind gusts of 15-20 meters per second during the daytime,” the statement said.
Tomorrow, Belarus will be affected by atmospheric fronts associated with a cyclone whose center will move from Poland to the Baltic states.
