Aliaksandr Lukashenka today appointed new heads of several state organizations and agencies. Changes were also made in Lukashenka’s administration and the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.
A new director was also appointed to the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR). The post went to Andrei Kuntsevich, who previously served as first deputy minister of information. He joined the Ministry of Information from Lukashenka’s administration, where he oversaw ideological affairs.
Aleh Dyachenka was appointed commissioner for religious and ethnic affairs. Previously, he was a member of the House of Representatives, where he served as deputy chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee Dzmitry Basko has been transferred to the State Committee for Standardization, where he was appointed chairman.
Finally, Yaraslau Charkaski was appointed ambassador to Syria and Jordan concurrently.
Siarhei Hunko was appointed director general of the Belarusian State Association for the Collection, Processing and Supply of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metal Scrap and Waste, and director general of Belvtorchermet OJSC. He moves to the post from his position as director of Beltsvetmet OJSC.
