MTS Launches 5G Network in Hrodna

Mobile operator MTS is giving its subscribers access to 5G in Hrodna. Fifth-generation connectivity was previously launched in Minsk and the other regional centers. For now, 5G in the city on the Neman will be available in several locations.

“5G can be accessed near Hrodna State Agrarian University and Hrodna State Electrical Engineering College, in the area of Praletarskaya Street, as well as near the main building of Hrodna State Medical University. In the coming months, the service area will be expanded severalfold: coverage will extend to the central part of the city, residential neighborhoods, social facilities and popular recreation areas,” MTS said.

The 5G network in Belarus is being deployed by infrastructure operator beCloud. More than 1,100 base stations are already operating in six cities. The service area covers more than 400 square kilometers.
