MTS and A1 Recognised as Dominant Players in the Mobile Base Station Infrastructure Market

Belarus’ Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) has added Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) and A1 to the State Register of Business Entities Holding a Dominant Position in Commodity Markets.

The decision follows an analysis of the market for providing telecommunications infrastructure used to accommodate equipment for mobile network base stations.

As the ministry’s press service said, MTS and A1 will be subject to price regulation through the introduction of maximum tariff caps.
