A total of 33 people were killed in Russian strikes on the village of Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia Region. More than 50 others may still be trapped under the rubble. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave these figures at a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on November 3.
Those killed included two emergency workers and four police officers.
Russia launched a massive aerial bomb attack on Komyshuvakha on November 2. The first strike hit a school where humanitarian aid was being distributed. Another nine aerial bombs were subsequently dropped on a shelter.
The search and rescue operation is now in its second day.
