Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that more than 400 drones targeted the Russian capital overnight. According to him, most of them were neutralized on distant approaches, while 85 drones were intercepted as they approached Moscow.
He also said that six people with blast injuries of varying severity had been taken to a hospital in Domodedovo.
Meanwhile, videos showing fires in the Moscow region have appeared online. Reports said that Wildberries warehouses at the Yuzhnye Vorota industrial complex in Domodedovo, as well as facilities near Podolsk, had been hit. An oil depot in the settlement of Lvovsky is on fire.
The Moscow Region Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that commercial facilities had been damaged but did not specify which ones.
“Several municipal districts in the Moscow region came under attack by unmanned aerial vehicles overnight. There are casualties, and their number is being clarified. In addition, apartment buildings, residential houses, and commercial facilities have been damaged,” the statement said.
