Moldova has declared an employee of the Russian Embassy in Chisinau persona non grata following a drone crash in the village of Chiştelniţa.
Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the violation of the country’s airspace and the crash of a drone carrying explosives 100 metres from a residential building.
“This incident constitutes a serious violation of the sovereignty and security of the Republic of Moldova and poses a direct threat to the safety of its citizens. Such actions are unacceptable and once again demonstrate the risks associated with the Russian Federation’s war of aggression against Ukraine,” Moldova’s Foreign Ministry said.
Moldova called on Russia to stop actions that endanger regional security and human lives.
