Minsk plans to install more than 5,000 electric vehicle charging stations by 2030. Today, the Minsk City Council considered a concept for developing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in the capital.
As of July 1, 2026, Minsk had 1,300 charging stations and more than 30,000 electric vehicles.
Under the concept, stations with a capacity of up to 44 kW and charging times of two to eight hours will generally be installed at locations where electric vehicles are parked for extended periods, including residential neighborhoods, near hotels, office buildings and other public facilities. Fast chargers with capacities of up to 170 kW and charging times of 30 minutes to two hours, as well as super-fast chargers with capacities above 170 kW that can charge a vehicle in 10-20 minutes, will be installed near transport hubs with heavy traffic, at gas stations, near shopping centers and at park-and-ride facilities.
