Mayday.Team: KGB Questions Mahiliou Residents Who Have Visited EU Countries

In the second half of August, KGB officers conducted several searches and questioned local residents in Mahiliou, Mayday.Team reports.

According to human rights activists, security officers visited Mahiliou residents who had recently traveled to European Union countries. During the visits, they asked, among other things, about possible contacts with representatives of the Belarusian democratic movement.

KGB officers were also interested in electronic devices, primarily smartphones, which they inspected in the owners’ presence.

There have been no reports of detentions in connection with these visits.
