A 53-year-old man in Brest was injured while attempting to jump onto a departing train. The incident occurred at the railway station.
According to the Belarusian State Committee for Forensic Examinations, an investigation established that the man was running late for his train and tried to board a carriage after the train had begun moving. He was unable to hold on to the handrail and fell into the gap between the platform and the railway tracks. He was taken to hospital. A forensic medical examination found that he had sustained a closed comminuted fracture of the radius with displacement. The injuries were classified as less serious.
