A man sustained serious injuries after falling from the roof of a cow shed in Shchuchyn District on September 30, the Investigative Committee reports.
A construction crew was carrying out repairs at a dairy farm complex. The foreman informed the workers that the aerator’s polymer sheets would need to be replaced later, but gave no separate instruction to do so. Despite this, the workers began repairing the cow shed roof on their own and worked without safety harnesses.
While on the roof, a 48-year-old worker stepped onto a translucent skylight. The structure could not support his weight, and he fell onto the concrete below.
The injured man was taken to intensive care with multiple injuries.
