Aliaksandr Lukashenka met with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Lukashenka’s press service did not provide details of the meeting, noting that after the official photo session, the two leaders withdrew for a one-on-one conversation.
Lukashenka is in Turkmenistan to attend the CIS Heads of State Council.
On October 7-8, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou held a series of meetings with representatives of the Turkmen government. The discussions covered bilateral issues, including prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation. Agreements were reached to hold a business forum and other events.
A cooperation programme between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Turkmenistan for 2027-2028 was signed.
