Lukashenka Exchanged Belarusian Political Prisoners for “Wounded Russians,” Says Eismant

A total of 123 political prisoners were released and expelled from Belarus in exchange for “wounded Russians and captured Belarusians,” said Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s press secretary Natallia Eismant.

“The American side took nine foreign citizens with them today. And more than 100 people were sent to Ukraine — in exchange for Belarusians who were captured there, for whom the president was very strongly asked by their relatives, and for wounded Russians,” she told TASS.
